A Language Beyond Form

Sara Baruh’s work exists in the space between intuition and structure — where gesture, texture, and movement gradually evolve into abstract visual landscapes. Her paintings do not attempt to describe a fixed reality; instead, they unfold through emotion, rhythm, and material presence.

Born in Istanbul and based in Geneva since 1980, Baruh’s artistic language carries traces of both cultures — balancing Mediterranean warmth with European restraint, spontaneity with silence.

“Even though I don’t always know what the outcome will be, the creative process is exciting and colorful.”

For Sara Baruh, abstraction becomes a space of freedom — where intuition can exist without explanation and where the act of creation remains open, fluid, and alive.

our values

The Process of Abstraction

For Baruh, painting is not about arriving at predetermined answers.

Each work develops slowly through layering, erasure, repetition, and experimentation. Using ink, acrylic, and oil paint, she allows the materials themselves to guide the composition, creating surfaces that feel both spontaneous and deeply controlled.

Rather than explaining, the works invite observation.

Rather than certainty, they hold atmosphere.
